Hello, and welcome.
I'm a qualified and experienced psychotherapist dedicated to providing professional and compassionate support. Please have a look round to learn more about my therapeutic approach and specialist training.
My Background
Before training in psychotherapy, I worked as an artist and filmmaker. I produced award-winning films that were screened at film festivals and art exhibitions. I have worked in the medium of drama, documentary and experimental film, with a particular focus on narratives that represent the lives and aspirations of women.
I have taught filmmaking to diverse communities through Community Arts Organisations and created films for both private and public sector clients. This creative background informs my therapeutic work, and my ongoing practice as an artist.
Community Involvement
I volunteer with the Lesbian Immigration Support Group (lisg.uk), a charity providing practical and social support to lesbian and bisexual refugee and asylum-seeking women throughout Greater Manchester. This work reflects my commitment to supporting marginalised communities and understanding the complex challenges faced by those navigating displacement and belonging.
Creative Practice
Beyond my therapeutic work, I'm a comic book creator with a passion for graphic novels and sequential art. I'm currently working on my second book ‘Primal States’. www.seahorsecomics.com.
I look forward to the possibility of working with you. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to discuss how therapy might support you.
